The Bad batch

Strange isn't it? Here we are. In the darkest corner of this Earth. And we're afraid of our own kind.

Year: 2016
Director:
Ana Lily Amirpour
Writer: Ana Lily Amirpour
Starring: Suki Waterhouse, Jason Momoa, Jayda Fink, Keanu Reeves, Jim Carrey, Yolonda Ross, Aye Hasegawa, Giovanni Ribisi, Louie Lopez Jr., E.R. Ruiz, Cory Roberts.
What is this about: Criminals are expelled to the dessert where normal laws are no longer valid and different gangs have differnets methods of surviving.

Content warnings: Violence, cannibalism, drugs
Best about it: I love dystopias and this was a good one, with many clichés (such as dessert) but also with some freshness. If you wanna be sure you don't get bored during a movie, this is certainly worth watching. It's not slow, things just start happening right away, but not too much action either. Very humane.
How did I felt: Partly super disgusting, but mostly not too much horror elements. Captivating storyline. Really well written. Acting wasn't the greatest all the time, so that's the reason I didn't give five stars, also I'm not sure about how believable the end was. While watching this I was entertained, little repulsed, scared, happy, hopeful and sad. Good two hours.
Goodness: 5/5
Weirdness: 4/5

Lucy

Ignorance brings chaos, not knowledge.

Year: 2014
Director:
Luc Besson
Writer: Luc Besson
Starring: Scarlett Johansson, Morgan Freeman, Min-sik Choi, Amr Waked, Julian Rhind-Tutt , Pilou Asbæk, Analeigh Tipton, Nicolas Phongpheth, Jan Oliver Schroeder
What is this about: Lucy is drag in to drug business without her will and ends up testing new super drug.

Content warnings: Violence
Best about it: I liked the start but soon everything started to feel very pointless. This was easy to watch and had some good points. If you like action with female starts this is propably your thing.
How did I felt: Somehow entertaining, but felt kind of meaningless. I'm always little dissapointed if I feel some potential was wasted. Entertaining filmo tho.
Goodness: 2/5
Weirdness: 2/5

Content warnings: Violence, nudity
Best about it: Plot had many layers, not predictable, not cliché. I loved scenery and use of color.
How did I felt: Some parts disturbing and not pleasant to watch, but I loved how this was not too much horror and really not too much fantasy (wich really is not my thing). I would describe this intense mystery drama. Really captivating plot, I can really recommend this movie but I can say that this also was that way unpleasant experience that I propably wont watch this again.
